My wife and I purchased new guns this year and I wanted a way to keep track of every detail about them. Amazingly one app suited all of our needs. I have created a database with pictures of our guns, purchase price and date and tons of other details. This is handy for keeping track of maintenance. Additionally if you are a frequent gun trader /seller or FFL to keep track of your inventory of sold at and sold to info.
I am able to track as much detail as I want about the ammo that was purchased and shot, stats for the ammo and notes. This info can then be utilized in your range "session" reports. I use both commercial and custom hand loads, and this software lets me track every component and formula and track the results of each session to include photos so that allow me to have a much more highly detailed shooters / hand loaders log than can be accomplished on paper.
Additionally I am able to track our shooting sessions, take a pictures of the target and include details about range conditions, POI, grouping and tons of other details that pertain to either the long gun shooter or pistol shooter.
Dont shy away from this app because you may not be interested in tracking as much data as I am. You certainly do not have to use as many of the features that I enjoy on the app, all I am doing is highlighting that this app probably has the more features than you will ever fully utilize, but for me that is a good thing. It is a great value and makes tracking my progress and our guns maintenance very easy.
Having said all these positive things the only thing that I wish was easier to use is backup / sync. Integration with a third party service like Dropbox or something would be keen. The process for backing up the app is probably a little more complicated than I would prefer, however on the whole out of all the things the app does, that is the only thing I would like to see made easier.
